Hello everyone! Is there anyone out there signed up for this glorius weekend? My sister and I are and are sooooo excited! We love Quick Quotes and can't wait to go.

Just wondering if we will know what type of pictures to bring with us? I love to have everything completed before I come home!

Thanks!

Jennifer,

I wish I was fortunate enough to attend this event. I hope you post your experiences at the Private Reserve Weekend so we can share (vicariously) in the events and classes.

We had the greatest time.  Actually this is the first time I have posted on any message boards.  I would love to see all the pictures that were taken over the weekend by the Quick Quotes crew posted on the web site.  I can't believe how many people came from all over the country.  Patsy, Breezy, and the rest of the crew you all were so ahsome!!! I would love to see some of the finished projects.  My friend Amy makes me jealous because she got all her pictures into all the projects.

Hope everyone else had as great of time as I did.  It was also great fun getting to meet so many other scrappers.  I really enjoyed getting to known Susan, Terri and Shannon.

It was such a good time.  Everything was so well organized and done with class.  The projects were so good.  I loved making a whole album in one day.... well, most of the pages are done.  I just have to finish a couple and add my pictures.  The classes were fast, but well run with assistants walking around with the sample so one could see up close just what was done.  Also there were overhead projectors so you could always see what was going on.  The teachers were great and a lot of fun to be with.  Patsy taught our album class and I really enjoyed it.  I learned a whole new different style of scrapbooking.  If you ever get the chance... go to one of these.

I was there!!! Liann, Lia and myself went from California and we had so much fun and met new friends.  What I liked each evening was the opportunity to complete the projects from the day and work on pages crop style!  The lunches were great--quick and simple--so we could hurry and get back to work.  Everyone was fantastic.  I loved the personal treatment and felt truly welcomed and appreciated.  We would love to attend the next one and are especially interested in attending other cities.  I loved Washington which I had never been to so we also took an extra day to play in Seattle.  It would be neat to go to other cities as well. How about Nashville or Minneapolis???

Loved the Private Reserve Weekend.  Learned lots of new stuff - people are friendly - finished my album, and had some wine to finish the day!  Kits were fabulous!  Working with canvas is fun, different and very versatile.

Just a few suggestions:
- Maybe using watercolors instead of inks can brighten up the canvas' even more.
- A couple of breaks in-between classes.  We all want to get the most out of the
weekend but sometimes the rooms are hot, etc. and are afraid to miss the
instructions.  Every now and then we need to breathe.  Or, rotate class rooms -
   we have to stretch then.
-  Rotate the papers from those used in other groups.  Our group used the same
papers throughout the class - switch off the project kits from other groups lets
us know what kinds of papers are also available.
-  So many kits available out front but the papers were somewhat hidden.
- There is a Great Wolf Lodge in Pennsylvania too!  Maybe what was worked out in
   Washington can be moved eastward!

Would attend another class - like the personalization of the group.  Keep up the great work!

OH MY!!!! What a great time! My sister flew in from PA and we drove up from Vancouver together. We made 6 large projects, one whole 12x12 album and some smaller projects at the crops. Awesome projects! We were able to finish up 5 of them completely (except for pictures.... I didn't have time to print mine out before I left). This is not for the newbie beginner.... even though there was a newbie at our table and was doing awesome! Very quick paced (just like their classes at conventions). If you love to ink, then the time frame doesn't give you enough time to finish putting together, but I was able to finish up later on in the beginning of the crop.

We started with a 16x20 canvas project. We didn't finish this one, but my sister wanted to add her splash of color and I wasn't sure if I would want too after the fact. Now that I'm home with it, I'm thinking about making it even larger to fit on one wall.

We did a very cute recipe box. Great gift projects for Christmas. Now I have to get my recipe 'papers' all organized and put in my nice new box!

The Canvas Tote is AWESOME! I am in love it with it! Came together pretty quickly and is just so darn stinking cute! I think it will be my crop tote from now on for my supplies.

We did a three 6x6 hanging canvas which was darling. Another great idea for Christmas presents.

We recycled our lunch box and made a great monthly card holder. You could also make it into a box to hold cards by occasion too. It will hold a ton of cards and get myself organized.

Last but not least, we made a two panel 'Dutch Door' vacation album. Great idea and colors. I can't wait to finish it up with my summer vacation pictures. Great project idea!

The album the next day was awesome - and fast paced as well. Some are basic pages, but there was some out of the box ideas - using a page protector as a transparency page , weaving, different pocket pages - that it has great inspiration. I finished it today and need to get my pictures and journaling on. Loved it!

I must say that everyone was great and very friendly. They had a ton of product on hand to buy too. Luckily they weren't that far away and they were able to go get more for everyone! Wink

I had an awesome time! Thank you for putting on a great Weekend!
